Hongkun Park is Mark Hyman Jr. Professor of Chemistry and Professor of Physics at Harvard University, and a member of the Broad Institute launched as a partnership between Harvard and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology to conduct interdisciplinary research in biomedicine. His group focuses on fundamental studies of nanoscale electrical, optical, and plasmonic devices that operate based upon quantum mechanical principles, as well as the development of new nano- and microelectronic tools that can interface with living cells, cell networks, and organisms. He was selected as a Highly Cited Researchers by Clarivate Analytics in 2018, by virtue of having multiple papers in the top 1% by citations in 2006-2016. Among other distinctions, he is a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science.
