Dolores Albarracin is Professor of Psychology, Business and Medicine at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Her research centers on attitudes and persuasion, the intention-behavior relation, goals, predicting general activity patterns, predicting and changing health risk behaviors, and reviewing the effects of behavioral and clinical treatments. She has published over 170 articles and book chapters in the realm of psychology and health and has written five books, the latest of which integrates her theoretical and applied contributions under the title Action and Inaction in a Social World: Dynamic, and Implications for the Prediction and Change of Attitudes and Behaviors. A former editor of Psychological Bulletin, her distinctions include the 2019 Avant Garde Award of the National Institute of Drug Abuse.
