Director of Musikfest Berlin (Germany), an annual event that brings together orchestras, choirs and ensembles from all round the world. He combines this post with the artistic direction of Musica Viva, the concert program run by Bavarian public broadcaster Bayerischer Rundfunk. Hopp has served on the board of the Institute for New Music and Musical Education in Darmstadt and was among the founders of the International Ensemble Modern Academy in Frankfurt. Member of the North Rhine-Westphalia Academy of Arts and Sciences.
