Professor of Immunology at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM), Head of the Department of Immunology in La Princesa University Hospital and group leader in the Centro Nacional de Investigaciones Cardiovasculares (CNIC).
His research on leukocyte activity has had major repercussions for the treatment of diseases like multiple sclerosis, psoriasis and Crohn’s disease.
He is currently investigating the mechanisms driving the transfer of genetic information at the start of the immune response as an innovative strategy in therapy design.
