Professor in the Department of Environmental Systems Science at the Institute of Agricultural Sciences, ETH Zurich (Switzerland).
Her research topics are functional plant diversity and biogeochemistry of agroecosystems and forest, in particular the biospheric-atmospheric greenhouse exchange, in response to both human and biophysical drivers.
Author of almost 200 published papers, she holds the 2012 Norbert Gerbier-MUMM International Award of the World Meteorological Organization.
